Jason & Brityn

This page was established to raise money for our friend Jason Sain who was diagnosed on April 15, 2014 with multiple glioblastomas.  These malignant brain tumors are not operable and he will begin chemo and other treatments as soon as possible to control the disease. Jason is a 40 year old father of two, and he and his wife Heidi have a child on the way. These funds will be deposited to the Dusty Elam Foundation and will be tax deductible. 100% of the proceeds will go to Jason to help with medical expenses not covered by insurance and living expenses. Please consider giving financially to someone who has always given back to others.

Checks can be sent to:
The Dusty Elam Foundation
Peoples Bank and Trust Co.
Attn: Melinda

Make checks payable to The Dusty Elam Foundation and write "the Jason Sain Family" on the memo line

Update - 4/25/2015
Jason has been moved to St. Thomas Midtown to continue his rehab.  He has had 2 full days of physical, occupational and speech therapy.  He is improving rapidly every day and is in good spirits.  The plan is to begin treatment for the cancer as soon as the sutures heal from the surgery.  He expects to be in the hospital for about 2 weeks.  If you plan on visiting, please wait until after 5 pm since his day is pretty full with rehab.  Cards can be sent to Jason Sain Room 6307, C/O St. Thomas Midtown Hospital, 2000 Church Street, Nashville, TN 37236.  Please continue to pray for Jason's recovery and for successful treatment of the cancer.  If you feel led to donate, please do so.

Latest Update

Jason was extubated last night, April 17, 2014 and as of noon on April 18th he is conscious, responsive and beginning to get his sarcasm back!  He has begun physical and speech therapy to ensure there was no damage from the surgery.  He is aware of the situation and ready to fight.  Please continue to pray for healing and for peace.
